Still I Bloom is a watercolor portrait of breast cancer survivor Christina Miner, whose faith and determination inspired me. Christina chose to forgo reconstructive surgery, embracing life as a “flattie” and refusing to let cancer define her. The flowers blooming within her reflect the beauty and life that continue beyond her diagnosis. Having lost my mother to cancer, this painting holds a special place in my heart.
